Becoming a father changed how I practice law.
For years, I worked as a civil litigator, representing clients in state and federal courts in contract disputes, civil rights cases, employment discrimination claims, and immigration matters. It was meaningful work. But once I became a father, I learned how important it is to plan for the future, for my wife, and especially for our two children. I wanted to know that no matter what happened, they would be cared for.
That is why I redirected my practice toward estate planning. Whether you need a will, a trust, or help settling a loved one's estate, I'll work with you to protect and provide for the people you love, the same way I provide for my own. I also continue to help clients with immigration and with reviewing employment and severance agreements.
Before law, and beside it
I worked as a journalist, and my work has been featured on NPR, Democracy Now!, and Maryland Matters. I hold a PhD in religion and theology from Durham University and am the author of two books published by Bloomsbury: Christianity, Otherization and Contemporary Politics and The Crucifixion and Resurrection of Freddie Gray.
Outside the office, I enjoy watching my children grow, tinkering in my woodshop, and playing guitar.
